YEREVAN.- Armenian society has no experience of electing, former Armenian political analyst said.

Former member of Pan-Armenian National Movement Hovhannes Igityan commented on the protest movement initiated by Heritage party.

Igityan believes there are two approaches to the upcoming elections to the Yerevan Council. Authorities claim the elections are not of political character, it is more about “management”, unlike the opposition which is speaking about politicizing the vote, Igityan added. Everything depends on the ability of two camps to persuade the voters.

Expert is also skeptical about bourgeois-democratic revolution in Armenia which was previously predicated by first president and head of the opposition Armenian National Congress Levon Ter-Petrosyan. There are no prerequisites for such a revolution, he added.
