YEREVAN. – News was spread in the ruling power’s backstage on Thursday, according to which acting PM Tigran Sargsyan and Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Chairman Gagik Tsarukyan had met on Wednesday, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports.  

“Also, rumors were spread among the same circles that during the meeting, talks were held about the future Government.

The ruling power circles were saying that the [ruling Republican Party] RPA and the PAP are holding talks on forming a coalition [government].  

According to the same circles, Tsarukyan is prepared to take part in the coalition if PAP receives five ministerial positions in the future Government. The RPA, however, is prepared to give up three or four positions.  

In private conversations, the RPA representatives assure that the ‘delay’ in the formation of the new Government is due to the aforesaid negotiations,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
