YEREVAN.- The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has high expectations from the prime minister, at the same time imposing many requirements, RPA member said.

During the Friday press conference, secretary of RPA faction Hovhannes Sahakyan commented on yesterday’s decision by the RPA Executive Body and the Board regarding reappointment of Tigran Sargsyan to the post of prime minister.

Asked about the reasons for such a decision in the light of the current situation in the country, Sahakyan noted that the Executive Body and the Board voted unanimously.

He said that over the past five years, Armenia had to overcome quite a difficult period, and the team proved it is capable of withstanding the global crisis.

“He [premier] is always a target for criticism. RPA has a lot of expectations from Tigran Sargsyan,” politician said.
