YEREVAN. – During its special congress on Saturday, the New Armenia Party (NAP) adopted a decision on joining the interim coalition government’s junior partner, Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party (RLP).

RLP vice chairs Heghine Bisharyan and Mher Shahgeldyan likewise attended the congress, which only took 20-30 minutes.

In his address, NAP Chairman Babken Harutyunyan praised RLP. In his words, RLP leader, National Security Council Secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan’s forming a coalition with the authorities was not worthily evaluated by the body politic because, “the people were disoriented and RLP was discredited as a result of the Black PR by the news websites belonging to opposition forces.”

Following Harutyunyan’s address and New Armenia Party’s joining RLP, Orinats Yerkir Party Vice Chairman Mher Shahgeldyan said they salute this decision.
