YEREVAN.- Head of Republican parliamentary faction Hovhannes Sahakyan dismissed reports on his possible appointment to the post of nature protection minister.

Sahakyan has not received any offers, he told Armenian News-NEWS.am. Moreover, the matter has not been discussed.

If he receives an offer, he “will think about it”, member of the ruling party said. Speaking about the current minister, Sahakyan said Aram Harutyunyan is his friend.

Re-elected president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who took office on April 9, on the same day accepted resignation of the Cabinet.

According to the Constitution, the President appoints a Prime Minister within ten days after the resignation of the government on the basis of the distribution of seats in the National Assembly and consultations with parliamentary factions.

The government is formed within twenty days after the appointment of the Prime Minister.
