YEREVAN. – It is wrong to put a time limit on the matter of Armenian Genocide’s recognition, and it is indispensable to continue the work that has been done to this day. Ruling Republican Party MP, National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Chairman, Artak Zakaryan told this to news reporters on Wednesday while visiting capital city Yerevan’s Armenian Genocide Memorial, on the 98th anniversary of the genocide.

Zakaryan noted that the genocide’s recognition is a primary task of the state and of all Armenian organizations, alike, because this is a universal matter.

“Sooner or later, the international community must demonstrate a proper attitude and condemnation with respect to this matter,” he said.

In the MP’s words, Armenian Genocide 100th anniversary committees are set up in all Armenian communities throughout the world.

“The greatest impetus to the international community should be [the fact] that there are crimes, inhuman tragedies which cannot be forgotten one-hundred years later,” Artak Zakaryan concluded.
