STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Wednesday met, in the NKR permanent representation in Armenia, with the European Parliament’s EU-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group representatives.
Several matters related to Europe-Artsakh relations, the Karabakh-Azerbaijani conflict’s settlement, and regional processes were discussed during the meeting, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President informed.
President Bako Sahakyan noted that the development of relations with Europe is a significant direction of Artsakh’s foreign policy and, in this context, he highly evaluated the establishment and deepening of ties with a variety of European institutions, including the European Parliament. Both parties highlighted the existence of a large domain of possibilities for cooperation and the need for carrying out focused work in this direction.
NKR FM Karen Mirzoyan; David Babayan, head of the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President; NKR Permanent Representative to Armenia, Karlen Avetisyan; and several other officials likewise attended this meeting.
