Armenia is a pioneer in many integration issues in the former Soviet Union area, Russian Ambassador to Armenia said.

Outgoing Ambassador Vyacheslav Kovalenko addressed on Friday the first youth forum of the CIS states titled “One Step Closer” which is dedicated to the integration in the Eurasian area.

The diplomat said that this initiative inspires respect for those activists who see their future in the development of integration projects in Eurasia. According to him, holding such a forum is a good platform for working together.

The meeting of the representatives of formerly united country enables to recreate the ties to transmit energy to each other, he noted.

Vyacheslav Kovalenko finally delivered a message from the Russian Foregn Minsiter Sergey Lavrov.

Ambassadors of Belarus and Stepan Sukhorenko and Ambassador of Kazakhstan Aiymdos Bozzhigitov addressed the participants of the forum.
