The respondents were asked which political party or bloc they would vote for if the Yerevan Council election was to be held next Sunday.
“The survey results suggest that 48.3 percent would vote for the [interim coalition government’s senior member] Republican Party of Armenia; 16 percent, for Prosperous Armenia [Party]; 7.4 percent, for the [opposition Heritage Party-led] ‘Barev [Hello], Yerevan’ bloc; 4.4 percent for the [opposition] Armenian National Congress [Party]; 4.2 percent, for the [interim coalition government’s junior partner] Orinats Yerkir [Rule of Law] Party; [and] 2.3 percent, for the [opposition] ARF Dashnaktsutyun [Party],” Poghosyan stated, and added that the margin of error in this survey is +/-3 percent.
In his words, the voters have shown great interest in the Yerevan Council election from the very beginning of the campaign season, and that 1,000 adult residents of the Armenian capital city were asked in the aforesaid survey.
