Armenian soldier Israyel Tarverdyan, who had sustained a gunshot wound from a bullet fired by the adversary, will be discharged in one month. Albert Baghdasaryan, the prefect of Berdavan village of Armenia’s Tavush Region, told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

He added that, fortunately, Tarverdyan was wearing a bulletproof vest, and therefore the bullet did not penetrate too deep into the soldier’s body.

In Baghdasaryan’s words, Tarverdyan’s parents head learned from the media that their son was wounded and they rushed to Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), where Israyel serves.      

The military serviceman’s wound is not life-threatening.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, on Wednesday, Israyel Tarverdyan, 20, sustained a gunshot wound, from a bullet fired by the adversary, at the military position of a military unit that is stationed in the northeasterly direction of the NKR Defense Army. An investigation is underway to find out the details of this incident, Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Army informed.
