YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Foreign Minister, Edward Nalbandian, on Monday met with Russian Federation Ambassador Vyacheslav Kovalenko, who is ending his diplomatic mission in Armenia.

Nalbandian extended his thanks to Ambassador Kovalenko for the productive work, and noted that Armenian-Russian strategic and allied interaction further developed during the ambassador’s tenure in Armenia, the Armenian MFA press service informs. 

In his turn, the Russian diplomat stated that he is proud to contribute to the development of Armenian-Russian ties, and thanked for the great assistance he received from the Armenian MFA during his term in office in Armenia.   

The interlocutors exchanged views on the joint steps being taken to expand Armenian-Russian relations.

In addition, Edward Nalbandian presented the Armenian MFA commemorative medal to Vyacheslav Kovalenko, in recognition of his role in the strengthening of Armenian-Russian ties.
