YEREVAN. – Australia’s newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Paul Myler—whose diplomatic residence is in Moscow—, on Monday presented the copy of his credentials to Armenia’s Foreign Minister, Edward Nalbandian.

Congratulating the ambassador on his appointment, Nalbandian expressed a hope that Myler will stimulate the development of relations between the two countries, the Armenian MFA press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

In his turn, Ambassador Myler noted that Australia underscores the consolidation of ties with Armenia, and assured that he will make all efforts to further deepen the Armenian-Australian friendship. 

Subsequently, the interlocutors reflected on the collaboration between both countries within international organizations, and their interaction in the trade and economic and the cultural domains.  

In addition, Edward Nalbandian presented the current efforts by Armenia and the international community toward a pacific settlement to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. In this context, Armenia’s FM highly appreciated Australia’s balanced position on this matter.
