YEREVAN. – Following Tigran Sargsyan’s reappointment as PM, the business wing of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) is attempting to see to it that the party reviews its position with respect to the Government and finds common grounds for reconciliation with the PM, 168 Zham daily reports.

“In response to this, the PAP’s political wing proposes to toughen the political course. [But] the option of ‘neither government nor opposition’ continues to be the most acceptable for Party Chairman Gagik Tsarukyan.

To protect the integrity of the party and to reconcile the conflicting wings, Tsarukyan soon will announce that they are preparing for the 2017 parliamentary and the 2018 presidential elections.

But for this to be convincing, he needs to explain why he did not run in the 2013 presidential election. [And] if the ‘Tsarukyan [for] President’ slogan does not sound convincing, the PAP could divide into several parts,” 168 Zham writes.
