YEREVAN. – In 2012, a total of 125 international and national organizations carried out charitable and humanitarian assistance programs in Armenia.
The abovementioned is noted in the bulletin which the Government Staff has submitted for Government approval.
In the year past, goods, with a customs value of 23.36 billion drams (approx. $56,887,120), were imported into Armenia, within the framework of charitable programs and with the address of 118 organizations, from 43 countries.
In line with the customs value, around 41.48 percent of the imported cargo are health care goods, including medicine, and medical equipment and supplies.
A total of 36.89 percent of this shipment was imported from the United States, 25.48 percent from China, 7.69 percent from Switzerland, 3.56 percent, each, from France and the United Arab Emirates.
