YEREVAN. – Vice Chairman of Armenia’s ruling party does not consider it right to speak about the results of municipal elections in percentage terms, however, predicts the victory of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).
Talking to Armenian News-NEWS.am, Armen Ashotyan forecasted over 40 percent for RPA and a good chance for Taron Margaryan to be reelected as the Mayor of Yerevan.
Despite pessimistic expectations, “the election was better than expected,” Ashotyan said.
“At this point, we managed to avoid serious clashes. Some political forces selflessly criticized us, forgetting that they are also responsible for the quality of elections,” he added.
