YEREVAN. – As of 4:55am, Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission ended the counting of all votes that were cast in the Armenian capital city Yerevan Council of Elders elections.
Republican Party of Armenia – 55.89% (235,512)
Prosperous Armenia Party – 23.07 % (97,189)
“Barev [Hello], Yerevan” bloc – 8.48 % (35,732)
Armenian National Congress Party – 4.39 % (18,499)
ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party – 3.8% (15,999)
Orinats Yerkir Party – 3.73% (15,733)
Arakeleutyun Party – 0.64 % (2,692 votes)
In line with preliminary results, the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, the non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party, and the opposition “Barev, Yerevan” bloc will comprise the new Council of Elders of Yerevan.
The second Yerevan Council of Elders elections were conducted on Sunday, and 464 precincts were opened for the voting. A total of 816,457 people were included in the voters’ list, and the voter turnout was 437,021, or 53.53 percent.
