YEREVAN. - The Ministry of Economy of Armenia held a meeting on Tuesday on the organization of manufacturing and sale of integrated products, chaired by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
The meeting was attended by the heads of about 80 companies and institutions of this sphere, as well as representatives of the agencies involved in export promotion, the press service of the government informed Armenian News - NEWS.am.
Tigran Sargsyan noted that the Armenian processing enterprises have problems and issues related to the implementation of sales and they expect support from the state. The Prime Minister focused on two sets of problems.
“The first category consists of problems of the financial sphere. This year, we intend to create a state structure to insure export, which will specialize in the field of risk assessment of export,” Tigran Sargsyan said.
According to him, the second category of issues involves the discussion, whether it is appropriate with the participation of the state to unite small and medium-sized enterprises, creating a joint venture for the purposes of exports of processed agricultural products.
“We are ready to discuss it, specifically, to work with companies that agree to participate with the state in such a venture,” the prime minister added.
