YEREVAN. – Armenian Central Electoral Commission (CEC) on Sunday summed up the final results of the capital city Yerevan Council of Elders election that was held on May 5. 

As a result, CEC adopted a decision on the election of the council members, CEC press service informs.  

In line with the CEC decision, the council members are as follows:

Ruling Republican Party of Armenia, with 42 seats; non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party, with 17 seats; and opposition Heritage Party-led “Barev [Hello], Yerevan” bloc, with 6 seats. 

The aforesaid decision also states that the voting irregularities that had taken place could not have impacted the outcome of the election.
