YEREVAN. – At the invitation of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko will pay an official visit to Armenia.  

On May 13, the two presidents will hold a private meeting and the official delegations will conduct talks. Subsequently, the documents on developing cooperation between both countries will be officially signed. Next, Presidents Sargsyan and Lukashenko will give a joint statement to the members of the media.   

Within the framework of his official visit, the Belarusian President will pay a visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial and pay tribute to the Genocide victims.

On the evening, President Sargsyan will give an official dinner in honor of the Belarusian leader and his delegation.

On May 14, Alexander Lukashenko will visit the Armenian nuclear power plant, and attend official opening of the Armenian-Belarusian House of Commerce in Yerevan. On the same day, the two presidents will attend the consecration ceremony of the Surb Hovhannes Mkrtich (Saint John the Baptist) Church in Abovyan city. 

To note, the aforesaid church is built by the means provided by non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party Chairman Gagik Tsarukyan.
