YEREVAN. – The Communist Party of Armenia strictly condemns developments on Syria, in particular actions o the U.S., UK and their allies.

“UN has recently adopted a regular biased resolution on Syria,” head of the Communist party Ruben Tovmasyan told reporters.

He is concerned over the Syrian crisis, since Syrians are friendly nation. Tovmasyan recalled that Syrian state had always supported Armenia since the 1915 Genocide. It was Syria that provided shelter for the Armenian refugees, he said, adding that West’s actions on Syria are unacceptable.

The UN General Assembly on Thursday approved resolution on Syria condemning the ongoing violence and calling for involved parties to immediately end the hostilities on all sides. It was criticized by Syrian representative at the UN and Russia.
