YEREVAN. – The Armenian government will subsidize the imported, not the consumed price of natural gas by 30 percent.

As to the further pricing, it will be regulated by the Public Services Regulatory Commission, spokesperson for Premier Harutyun Berberyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Asked about the resources for subsidizing the gas price, Berberyan said they are holding talks with Russia on the issue. Russia’s assistance on the matter will become clear after the talks are completed, he added.

According to the application provided by ArmRusgasprom, starting from July 1 Gazprom will supply natural gas at $270 for 1,000 cubic meters. Thirty percent of this price makes $81, therefore gas price on the border will make $189.
