YEREVAN. – The Armenian government is ready to provide the opposition with leverage to discuss infringement of rights of small shareholders of large enterprises.

Tigran Sargsyan’s comments came in response to opposition MP Hrant Bagratyan’s question. He recalled that starting from 1988, all factories were given to certain people under the guise of investments. Later on, 99 percent of shareholders were illegally driven off, Bagratyan said.

In his turn, Premier noted that during the previously held discussions the opposition demanded leverage to deal with the issue.

“We are ready to provide leverage. You can set up a committee to discuss all cases when rights of small shareholders were infringed,” he said.
