YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan introduced, during Thursday’s Cabinet meeting, the government’s steps that will be taken to help the Armavir Region farmers that suffered losses to their crops as a result of the recent hailstorm.

During Wednesday evening’s discussions with the representatives of the hail-hit communities, it was decided to manifest a different approach toward vineyards, orchards, and melon sowing areas.

In terms of vineyards, the assistance will be for three years, and one to two years for orchards, whereas the melon crops can recover quickly.         

The Armenian government’s assistance program comprises six steps.
