YEREVAN. – British Embassy’s annual Queen’s Birthday Party will take place in Yerevan on Friday.

Although Queen’s birthday is on April 21 but it is usually marked in June because of favorable weather conditions for outdoor festivities.

This year the British Embassy will use an opportunity to present British business and trade, as well as the successful examples of cooperation with Armenia.

An exhibition of photographer Nazik Armenakyan titled “UK in Armenia” will be presented during the event.

On the same day short films about the Queen and the Royal family will be screened in Lovers’ Park.

Queen Elizabeth II was born on April 21, 1926. She accessed the British throne in 1952 when she was only 25. The official birthday of the Queen is celebrated on a selected day in June depending on weather.
