STEPANAKERT. – President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan visited the town of Shushi.

President familiarized himself with the carpet weaving factory and its work. He noted the importance of developing this field both from the viewpoints of boosting the economy and introducing Artsakh culture.

Bako Sahakyan visited construction sites of apartment buildings, industrial college and Shushi branch of the Armenian National Agrarian University to inspect the site. According to the President, reviving Shushi’s fame as an educational, spiritual and cultural center is a strategic goal.

Vice-premier Arthur Aghabekyan and other officials accompanied the President during the visit.
