YEREVAN. – The Tour de France annual bicycle race is the country’s main national summer sporting event for more than a century.

French Ambassador to Armenia, Henri Reynaud, noted the aforesaid during a press conference on Friday, as he spoke about this year’s 100th Tour de France. 

“The Tour de France will be broadcast in 190 countries; 2,300 journalists will cover the race,” the ambassador added. 

To note, Lyon-Armenian cyclist Kakoyan likewise will compete in this year’s anniversarial Tour de France.
