North and South Koreas started talks on Saturday to decide the fate of jointly run industrial park Kaesong after months of tension, ITAR - TASS reported.

Seoul initiated talks and was supported by Pyongyang. This is the first meeting since the work of Kaesong complex was suspended in April.

The industrial park is the only example of economic cooperation between the two states having 900 workers from South Korea and 53,000 from northern neighbor. The industrial park was closed in early April following escalation of the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
