YEREVAN. – Association with the EU would not improve the quality of Armenian goods, head of Armenian NGO said.

Babken Pipoyan, Chairman of Informed and Protected Consumer NGO, noted that Armenia is not implementing agreements which had already been signed.

“Armenia lacks will and professionalism. People do not know how to work and are doing everything wrong,” Pipoyan told reporters on Wednesday.

One of the main problems is lack of control over production, he said, adding that this problem is an obstacle no matter what external economic partners we are working with.

“We need to create a control commission, which will perform the actual work. The products are getting more expensive, but no one knows why,” Pipoyan concluded.
