YEREVAN. – Chairman of the Armenian parliament’s standing committee on European integration Naira Zohrabyan on Wednesday met with Ilmars Solims, Adviser on EU Approximation and Administration of the EU Advisory Group, Jose Maria Etxeberria and Denis Badré.
The sides discussed situation in the context of Armenia’s decision to join the Customs Union, noting that despite the problems, official Yerevan realizes importance of cooperation and continuation of dialogue with EU in different areas and is determined to participate in the Vilnius summit.
Speaking about relations with Russia, chairman of the committee noted that Russia is Armenia’s strategic ally and relations with Russia and EU must be balanced. Zohrabyan is convinced one must not forget about Karabakh, and in this context Armenia cannot make compromise.
