YEREVAN. – From Tuesday to Thursday, Ambassador James Warlick visited Armenia’s capital city Yerevan in his new capacity as US Co-Chair of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group.

“Ambassador Warlick discussed the ongoing peace process with President Serzh Sargsian and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, and the security situation with Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan. 

“He reiterated the United States’ desire to help the sides reach a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and reaffirmed our commitment to working with the Russian Federation and France as co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.

“Ambassador Warlick will travel to Nagorno-Karabakh on [Thursday,] September 12 to continue his introductory consultations and see firsthand the situation on the Line of Contact,” reads the statement released by the US Embassy in Armenia.
