YEREVAN. – The adaptation to several European Union (EU) directives is continuing in Armenia, Minister of Economy Vahram Avanesyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He added that the ministry continues to examine those European documents whose adaptation in the country will be conducive to economic development.

“We certainly have directions which we do not intend to continue, but all the primary ones will be continued,” Avanesyan noted.

In his words, however, Armenia is not imitating foreign legislation, but rather adapting to the best international track-record.

“To this end, we have also accepted the previous European Union directives. We are manifesting such an approach also toward our other partners,” Vahram Avanesyan stated.
