STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Wednesday signed a decree on awarding the Gratitude Medal to American-Armenian philanthropist Varuzhan Gureghian.

Gureghian was bestowed this award for carrying out several humanitarian programs in Artsakh, informs the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

On the same day, the President signed a decree on bestowing the title of Honored Art Worker of the NKR to famous kanoon player, Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory lecturer, and Armenia’s People’s Artist Anzhela Atabekyan, for her services to Artsakh in the domain of musical art and in connection with her 75th birth anniversary.

With another presidential decree, famous duduk player, Yerevan Romanos Melikyan Music College lecturer, and Armenia’s Honored Artist Georgy Minasov was bestowed the title of Honored Art Worker of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, in recognition of his services to Artsakh in the domain of musical art and in connection with his 80th birthday.
