YEREVAN. – The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) will allocate $459,000 to Armenia for the development of vegetable growing in the country.
Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan stated the aforesaid Thursday, as he submitted the respective program for government approval.
At present, 70 percent of the seeds are not checked in Armenia. The program aims to improve the quality of the gene pool of the seeds and to teach vegetable-growing skills to the country’s farmers.
