YEREVAN. – When Armenian authorities appear in a difficult situation, they, according to a tradition, apply for help of Davit Harutyunyan, one of a few intellectuals.

He is famous for his manipulations and is trying to cover up illegal acts with a пlay on words, secretary of Prosperous Armenia Naira Zohrabyan told reporters.

“This time his tricks will not work. I do appreciate Davit Harutyunyan’s extraordinary talent of manipulation but there are clear laws, there is Constitution, a law On the Constitution, a law regulating the actions of the National Assembly, there are parliamentary rules that have been violated,” she said.

Referring to the counting of votes during the vote on agreement between the governments of Armenia and Russia on sale of 20% of ArmRusgazprom shares to Gazprom, Zohrabyan said there was no meeting of the counting commission.

The opposition MPs, members of the counting commission, left the hall. Thus, it is not known “how many people were in their seats.”

The lawmakers had to vote with the show of hands during the Monday session after Zaruhi Postanjyan stole the voting cards.
