YEREVAN. – Heads of the Court of Cassation, the Criminal Chamber, the Civil and Administrative Chamber, and the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia held a joint discussion.
They conferred on the existing problems in the justice sector of Armenia, the Judicial Department and the Chamber of Advocates press services inform.
As a result, the parties decided to set up a joint working group, and to task the group to specifically determine the following:
Considering the number of the Court of Cassation judges and the appealed cases, what legislative changes are needed to abolish the court’s discretionary power—which is specified by the law—to consider the appeals?
