YEREVAN. – We have noted the problem of emigration as the key target of the program of the Government of Armenia, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said at a press conference on Friday.
Sargsyan responded to a question as to whether they likewise feel responsible that ever since the tenures of his and President Serzh Sargsyan, 50,000-60,000 people leave Armenia each year.
The PM noted that even though reforms are needed to solve this problem, implementing reforms is difficult because reforms are a change in behavioral rules. In the premier’s words, making changes is not easy and, to achieve successes, it is indispensable to be able to increase the potency of reforms in Armenia.
“We need to raise the standard of living so that people can express their talent, grace in Armenia. We must create an environment where people tie their future with Armenia.
“Of course we feel responsible. We are ready to listen to criticism. And the society, the country will benefit from dialogue; people will see alternatives,” Tigran Sargsyan noted.
