YEREVAN. - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan discussed bilateral cooperation perspectives with the Minister of State at British Foreign Office, Minister for Europe David Lidington, Armenian News - NEWS.am reports.

According to the press service of the President of Armenia, the sides discussed a wide range of issues related to the Armenian-British cooperation. During the meeting it was stressed that political contacts between two states had intensified recently. President Sargsyan and Minister Lidington expressed the hope that these contacts will have a long-lasting nature and the Armenian-British cooperation will develop in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

Armenian President and British Minister for Europe touched upon the negotiation process on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group. In this context, the sides discussed the results of recent summits in Wales and France.

Serzh Sargsyan and David Lidington had also exchanged views on regional issues and challenges and discussed prospects of Armenia and the EU relations after Armenia’s accession to the Russia-led Eurasian Union.
