Three Estonians have made a proposal to add a thirteenth month in the calendar. They petitioned to the country’s parliament with such an initiative, Postimees reported.

They are proposing to add a month to receive another salary, Direct Press reported.

The parliament staff office, however, stated that it is not necessary to change the calendar to receive an additional salary. They noted that the country’s law permits that, with an agreement between the parties, the salaries be paid more frequently than once a month.

“We recommend that you petition to your management and arrange a shorter period [to be paid salaries],” the office director said.
