STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic National Assembly (NKR NA) Speaker Ashot Ghulyan on Sunday arrived in Washington, DC. on a working visit.

Ghulyan on Monday met with OSCE Minsk Group US Co-Chair James Warlick, the NKR NA press service informed. They discussed the latest regional developments, and the peace process into the Karabakh-Azerbaijan conflict.   

On the same day, the NKR parliament leader also met with US Congressional Armenian Caucus Co-Chairman Frank Pallone. They conferred on the avenues for expanding cooperation between the US Congress and the NKR NA, the pacific settlement of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani conflict, and American humanitarian programs. 

At Congressman Pallone’s request, Ashot Ghulyan presented the consequences of the Azerbaijani provocations within Karabakh’s borders and, in this context, he thanked for the US Congress members’ statements condemning the recent shoot-down of an NKR Air Force helicopter by Azerbaijan.
