STEPANAKERT. – Within the framework of his working visit to Rome, Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh) President Bako Sahakyan on Monday met in the Italian Senate with Chairman Luigi Manconi of the Senate Standing Commission on Human Rights.

Artsakh-Italy relations were discussed during the meeting. Special attention was paid to cooperation in the protection of human rights, informed the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

President Sahakyan highlighted close cooperation with Europe in this domain, and he underscored Italy’s role in this context.

Armenia’s Ambassador to Italy Sargis Ghazaryan, and several other officials also attended the meeting.
