The world’s oldest man, Sakari Momoi from Japan, is celebrating his 112th birthday on Thursday.

He celebrated his birthday with his family, and at a special medical institution in Tokyo.

In August 2014, the Guinness World Records had officially acknowledged Momoi as the world’s oldest man, reported TASS news agency of Russia.   

Sakari Momoi was born in 1903 in the Fukushima Prefecture of Japan. He has taught agricultural chemistry all his life, and also worked in several schools as principal. Momoi’s mind still functions very well; he reads books, and watches sports programs.
