YEREVAN. – Director General of the Electric Networks of Armenia believes the method of calculation of power losses is flawed.
“We cannot pay for not our losses,” he said during the Wednesday meeting of the Public Services Regulatory Commission.
Head of monitotring department of the Commission Abgar Budaghyan said the offer of Electric Networks will be discussed during one or two months. The discussion will bring together all interested parties.
The norm for the loss of Electric Networks is set at 11.2%, but the company insists on 12.4% based on the analysis of independent experts invited by the company.
Despite numerous protests, the Public Services Regulatory Commission recently increased the price of electricity in Armenia by 6.93 drams.
In a statement made on the sixth day of demonstrations in Yerevan on June 27, the Armenian leader said the government will absorb electricity price hike before the end of evaluation conducted by an international company.
