Armenia’s PM Hovik Abrahamyan and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev had private talk today in the Reception House of the Russian Government.

The heads of the Armenian and Russian governments highly appreciated the current level of the Armenian-Russian strategic relations and discussed the wide scope of issues aimed at the deepening and expansion of the two ally countries. 

Both PMs attached importance to the continuation of joint programs and implementation of new projects in different sectors of economy. The parties found it necessary to increase the volumes of the commodity turnover.

They also touched on the recent interpolitical developments in Armenia. Besides, the PMs discussed issues on cooperation in the sphere of energy. They attached importance to the development of cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

Abrahamyan and Medvedev also discussed the process of implementing the agreements reached. The PMs arranged to continue the bilateral meetings to discuss Armenian-Russian relations, as well as the issues and programs related to the cooperation within the framework of the EEU.

The private talks were followed by a meeting in an extended format. Number of issues related to the opportunities of further strengthening and development of Armenian-Russian trade and economic ties were discussed.
