In 2015 the EU allocated €6 million to the Armenian Government for the development of agriculture in rural regions, the EU Delegation to Armenian Facebook page reports.
The credit was provided within the framework of the “European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD)”. The head of the EU Delegation to Armenia Traian Hristea congratulated the Armenian Government and the Ministry of Agriculture on the satisfying results of agriculture development last year.
“Currently the following steps are taken: revision of the medium-term agricultural strategy, on the basis of which the strategy for 2015-2025 will be drawn up during the second stage. I consider it important that the process is exclusive, has precise objectives, results and indicators, as well as the fact that it ended in due time,” Hristea said.
