YEREVAN. - Sandora juices, produced in Armenia since 2014, may start using Armenian fruits, Arshavir Minasaryan, General Manager of Armenia’s Jermuk International Pepsi Cola Bottler LLC told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

“I hope this year we’ll for the first time have production based on local fruit - peach and pear. We’re also trying to work with apricot,” Minasaryan said.

Fruit samples from Armenia have already been approved by PepsiCo Corporation, which owns the Sandora brand.

Using these fruit flavors, the company plans to concentrate as much as possible on the local primary products. The juices will be made in Ararat Plain of Amenia’s Vayots Dzor province, in comparatively small volumes for now – several hundreds of tons.

“We aren’t engaged in making intermediate goods, the juice concentrates are produced for us by other companies according to a contract. But we provide consultations to farmers regarding the quality standards we need,” Minasaryan said.
