YEREVAN. - Consultations on cooperation between Armenia and Russia in international organizations took place on Tuesday between Armenian and Russian Foreign Affairs Ministries.

The consultations were conducted by Vahram Kazhoyan, Head of Armenia’s MFA International Organizations Department, and Anatoly Victorov, Head of Humanitarian Cooperation and Human Rights Department.

During the consultations a number of different issues of mutual interest were discussed, among them the cooperation on the resolutions introduced in the UN Human Rights Council and General Assembly, their support and joint authorship, the developments related to improvements in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), issues on the cooperation with UN Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), particularly efficient cooperation with the Executive Committee, support to the candidacies of experts proposed by countries in different authorities, as well as issues related to making statements on joint stances in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) format.

By the end of the consultations, the Russian delegation received Armenia’s Deputy FM Ashot Hovakimian.
