YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Friday received a delegation of Korean lawmakers from a parliamentary friendship group with Armenia headed by Noh Young-min.
President Sargsyan stressed the importance of Korean parliamentarians' trips to Armenia's historical sites so that they can get a better understanding of the Armenian people with their history, spiritual and cultural heritage.
The Armenian leader highlighted the visit of Korean parliamentarians to the Armenian Genocide Memorial and thanked Noh Young-min for his special attitude to the subject, referring to his work “Modern Tragedy”the first chapter of which is devoted to the tragedy of the Armenian people.
Thanks to the efforts of people like him, the problem of the crimes against humanity is voiced not to let them repeat through recognition and condemnation, he said.
President Sargsyan praised the photo exhibition on the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide that was held in the Parliament of Korea.
For his part, co-chair of Armenia-Korea parliamentary friendship group stressed that history can not be forgotten and mentioned about the evidence of the genocide he saw.
