YEREVAN. – Head of Armenia's investigation committee Aghvan Hovsepyan met with U.S. Ambassador Richard Mills.

The sides discussed issues of mutual interest, head of investigation committee briefed the American diplomat on the work, achievements and problems of new structure. Mr. Hovsepyan noted importance of independence of investigation bodies, the need to improve effectiveness of investigation, as well as importance of trainings for investigators and exchange of operational information.

They discussed joint projects aimed at digitization of the criminal cases, ensuring access to database. The project will be put into effect next year with the support of the U.S. Embassy, Aghvan Hovsepyan said.

Head of investigation committee thanked the American side assistance in the case of misappropriation of state funds in a large scale.

The parties highly appreciated the cooperation and agreed to continue it.
