The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Friday traveled to the Tavush Province on a working visit.

The visit kicked off in Dilijan city, where the President met with representatives of the Luys Education & Endowment Fund community comprising about 200 people.

According to tradition, Sargsyan, who is also co-founder of this fund, handed to the newly accepted students the certificates attesting to their becoming worthy of the Luys fund scholarships.

The President also congratulated the students, and wished them new success in their further studies and future plans.

In addition, Sargsyan thanked the Luys students and graduates who, receiving education in the world’s top universities, return to the Motherland and use this education to the well-being of the Armenian people.

Subsequently, the President traveled from Dilijan to the town of Berd.

Serzh Sargsyan, within the framework of his working trip to the Tavush Province, also paid visits to several border residences of this province.
