STEPANAKERT. – The adversary violated the ceasefire on the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces around 900times, from August 2 to 8.

During this time, Azerbaijan fired more than 14,000 shots in the direction of Armenian military positions, and by way of rifle weaponry, mine throwers and grenade launchers, reported the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army.

As a result of operational measures taken by vanguard units of the NKR Defense Army, however, the “activeness” by the adversary was quelled.
